Plant construction: Planning, construction and realization
By means of AQUADOSIL-System for the deacidification of drinking water, the carbonic acid is removed from the
water using a feed of small air bubbles. Furthermore, the pH value of the water will be increased. This system
very often is used in great and small water-treatment plants between Hamburg and Basel. Beside deacidification,
this technology also can be used in an efficient aeration of iron-containing and manganese-containing natural
water as well as in the stripping of volatile substances (CKW, solvents, radon, and so forth)
Removal of acid manganese
In the range of filter technology we offer know-how in process engineering and the special material DOSFILT.
This filter material consists of a natural mixed oxide. It is stable according to carbonic acid and can be used
to remove manganese at pH values above 6.5 reliably. In opposite to all well-known procedures, the settling is
spontaneous without the need of a working-in over a period of several weeks. The guaranteed aim of treatment is
obtained at the day of starting-up.
The performance of existing water treatment plants can clearly be increased by means of this material. Substantial
costs can be saved by omission of the deacidification step in front of the filtration step within new installations.
